Singapore Landmarks You Need To Visit
Apart from being one of the cleanest cities there is, Singapore is also one of the safest cities to visit, especially if you’re planning a nice holiday or a short getaway. Got your tickets booked already? Then you want to make sure you visit these 5 Singapore Landmarks while on your trip.
Singapore Landmarks 1 – Merlion Park
The Merlion Park is an iconic Singapore landmark, and it is actually a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. Just standing there, watching the Merlion sprouting water from its mouth in a beautiful way against the skyline is definitely worth a watch.
Singapore Landmarks 2 – S.E.A. Aquarium
This aquarium is amazing, and it is home to over 100,000 marine animals. These marine animals are part of more than 1000 species as well as across 50 different habitats. This amazing aquarium is one that you won’t forget. This aquarium also has dinning experiences where you will be surrounded by marine animals while you dine. This Singapore landmark is absolutely worth visiting.
Singapore Landmarks 3 – The Gardens By the Bay
Spread over 250 acres of reclaimed land near the waterfront of Singapore, the Gardens by the Bay are definitely worth a visit. If you enjoy taking long strolls and being around nature, you’ll love this Singapore landmark. Don’t forget to wait until dusk to enjoy the visual treat of the Supertrees and snap dozens of photos to take home with you.
Singapore Landmarks 4 – Singapore Flyer
Love those panoramic views and watching beautiful cities from a height? You can’t afford to miss this Singapore landmark. Known as the Singapore Flyer when you’re there. At 165 meters, the flyer is probably the largest observation wheel outside the US, and there’s a little something different about being inside a glass capsule enjoying the breathtaking view of the key attractions of the city.
Singapore Landmarks 5 – The Botanic Gardens
Singapore is beautiful in many ways, but what you’ll absolutely thrilled to look at is the natural beauty of the Botanical Gardens. The gardens have a rich history, and ever since it was established, it has been a home to some of the finest flora in the world. In fact, this botanic garden and well known Singapore landmark is actually a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is a home to thousands of species of orchids and hybrids.
Singapore Landmarks 6 – Singapore Zoo
The Singapore Zoo is another place you shouldn’t miss when you’re around in the city. It is spread over 69 acres of land and is a home to over 315 species of animals. What’s more, it isn’t like other zoos- it tries to recreate the most natural environment for the animals it houses, so that the animals do not feel restricted. It is setup to mimic the natural habitat of the animals. Go to this Singapore landmark, and you’ll also get a chance to interact closely with the animals, which is an amazing experience. If you’re someone who loves exploring wildlife and nature, you must definitely try the night safari where you can spot nocturnal animals.
All in all, Singapore offers a lot for those obsessed with beautiful city lights and skylines, and at the same time, it has the perfect spots for adventure and nature enthusiasts. You are guarantee to enjoy your trip to Singapore!

Booking Your Trip – Tips & TricksHow To Book Cheap Flights When You Travel
If you are looking to book the cheapest flights you can possibly find on the internet, then make sure to use Skyscanner when searching for flights. Don’t forget to download the Free Skyscanner App also which is very handy. This is how I was able to get $12.40 airfare from Los Angeles to London, as well as $9.40 airfare from London to Italy.
How To Book Affordable Accommodation When You Travel
When booking accommodation, TripAdvisor is the way to go because you can read reviews and see photos from other travelers to get a feel of where you will be staying. Other great sites to book hotels are HotelsCombined, Booking.com and Hotels.com. Don’t forget to check HomeAway and VRBO for house and villa rentals too. Perfect for when you travel with a large family, and also to save money when hotels are expensive. Another favorite of mine is BookVIP – they offer huge resort savings.
How To Book Activities When You Travel
My favorite website to search for activities, tours and especially skip the line tickets is Viator and Get Your Guide. This makes trip planning so much easier because you don’t have to search several sites as both websites have several options to choose from. Same also goes with TripAdvisor Attractions – you can search and book activities as well as read reviews.
How To Book Rental Cars When You Travel
Instead of checking every single website, I use RentalCars.com, Car Rental 8 and Skyscanner Car Rentals to find car rentals all over the world with just one click. If you plan to park at the airport, visit Airport Parking and make a reservation.
Why Travel Insurance Is a Must When You Travel
People book trips and forget the most important part, purchasing travel insurance. Because we travel often, I purchase our travel insurance through Allianz for a year at a time which means that we are covered for all trips within that year. Travel insurance will protect you and your family against theft, injury illness, flight cancellations and so much more. It is a MUST!
