Campgrounds for families are always on my radar is an RVer. My husband, son, and I love to travel the country in our RV, and whenever we stop, I always like to make sure that we are in a kid friendly RV park.

I’ve put together quite a list of family friendly RV parks, and I want to share them with all of you today. These are some of the best campgrounds for kids.

These family friendly RV parks are always a great bet when you’re planning a road trip. They all have their own highlights, but in general, any of these make the perfect destination for any family looking to road trip to a destination that everyone will love.

Whatever park below you choose for you and your family, you’ll know that you’ve chosen a great one.

Coal Mine Ranch RV & Water Park – Malakoff, Texas

This RV park has an on-site water park, a playground, and a clubhouse with movie nights on the weekends. There’s also a play area, back patio, and party room.

Big Oak CampgroundMuncie, Indiana

This kid friendly RV park keeps things simple. It has a pon and a basketball court. It’s on the list of campgrounds for families because it offers tons of open space for kids to play and a community where everyone watches out for the kids.

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp & ResortAll over the U.S.

This park has a ton of activities. Lazer tag, a lazy river, bounce pillows, swimming pools, mini golf, bumper boats, fishing, an ice cream shop, and more are all waiting at this Yogi Bear-themed park.

Reunion Lake RV Resort – Ponchatoula, Lousiana

Reunion Lake is more like a resort that lets you park your RV than a campground. Offering all the amenities of a standard resort along with excellent RV pads, this resort boasts a water park, nightly activities. water sports, a store, and so much more.

KOA Parks – All over the U.S.

KOA has RV parks across the country in 41 states. Adults will enjoy the pull-through RV sites with 50-amp service. Most of them have pools and playgrounds which is perfect for families.

Sunset Kings Lake Resort – DeFuniak Spgs, Florida

This RV resort hosts kid friendly events and activities regularly. The park has an enforced speed limit for safety, a small playground, a clean pool, and a large retirement community that loves to see kids being kids.

Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort – Santa Claus, Indiana

Located just outside of Holiday World Amusement Park, Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort is a great resort for the entire family.

The resort offers play areas, pull-through sites, Santa’s Splash Down Water Park, and much more.

Verde River RV Resort & Cottages – Camp Verde, Arizona

Offering level RV sites with full hookups and 50/30/20 amp service, beautiful views, and tons of amenities, Verde River is a great campground for families.

They have regular activities for kids, amenities like a fitness room, and close proximity to local attractions that are perfect for the entire family.

Paradise Ranch RV Resort

Paradise Ranch is one of the best campgrounds for families because they offer so much. From concrete pad RV sites to primitive camping, you can rough it as much or as little as you like.

Banning Mills offers all kinds of adventurous activities for everyone in the family. At Banning, families can enjoy hiking, waterfalls, zip lining, pools, swing bridges, bike trails, and more.

Birchview Farm Campground

This campground features a pool, playground, jump pillow, arcade, a hiking trail to the nearby river, and even a coffee shop and cafe.

Beaver Run RV Park

Beaver Run is all about simple family fun. Here, you’ll find a playground, basketball court, swimming pond, and weekend activities for the kiddos. You’ll also have access to coin laundry, a game room, clean bathrooms, and hot showers.

Wolfie’s Campground

Wolfie’s is one of the best campgrounds for families due to its amenities and its atmosphere. You won’t find crazy parties here. Rather, your kids will enjoy a huge playground, pool, basketball, and other outdoor activities along with playing with all of the other kids!

Thousand Trails Orlando

This is one of the most family friendly RV parks we’ve ever been to, from pools to playgrounds, tennis courts and mini golf. There are also tons of families here, so your kids will always have friends to play to with.

Bethpage Camp-Resort

Bethpage has a little bit of everything, and it’s all a ton of fun. Families will enjoy an ice cream shop, mini golf, golf cart parades, biking, a small lake with floating trampoline and slides, a full water park, and more.

Sunset Lakes RV Resort

This kid friendly RV park offers multiple playgrounds, min golf, paddle boats, jumping pillows, an arcade, pull, basketball, and more.

Sunfox Campground

This family owned RV park takes family fun serious. The owners hold gams and activities all day long at this rustic campground. Kids and run and enjoy being kids with no worries, enjoying activities like flag football, water slides, a huge trampoline pad, and more.

Six Flags Darien Lake Campground

This campground offers pull-through sites with full hookups, campfires, and is dog friendly. In addition, it’s within walking distance of Six Flags theme park. If that doesn’t make it one of the best campgrounds for families, I don’t know what does.

Hidden Paradise Campground

Hidden Paradise is a hidden gem. This quarry lake offers a floating jungle gym and trampoline, a river to float on, and over 150 acres of woods to explore.

Hi Pines Campground

Hi Pines offers inflatables for their pond, trampolines, basketball hoops, a ground trampoline, a playground, and a great lodge. Both kids and adults can enjoy pizza, ice cream, games, and puzzles.

Rancho Jurupa Park

This 200-acre recreational park offers a splash pad, rock climbing playground, mini golf, disc golf, two fishing lakes, and more. It offers the best of a rustic getaway and close proximity to the local city.

Witch Meadow Lake Campground

This 140-acre parkland offers tons of outdoor activities like a 14-acre lake for boating, swimming, and fishing, a playground, tennis court, food services, walking trails, a heated pool, and much more.

Tropical Palms RV Resort

Get the best of everything at this amazing resort. Offering 69 acres of natural beauty, amenities like swimming, fishing, laundry, mini golf, fitness center, horseshoes, and more, and close proximity to Florida’s famous amusement parks, there’s something for every member of the family here.
