Wisconsin Dells is a popular tourist destination in the Midwest. The city is considered “The Waterpark Capital of the World,” however there is much more to do in Wisconsin Dells than just waterparks.
Wisconsin Dells also has plenty of amazing family friendly restaurants. When we visited Wisconsin Dells early this year, we had a hard time narrowing down our options.

The Best Wisconsin Dells Restaurants
Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – Bella Goose Coffee
Having coffee is always a great idea. Bella Goose Coffee is an independent coffee shop known for their top-notch brews. This quaint coffee place also offers light snacks and ample space where you can relax for a bit while enjoying the coffee and treats.
Try their unique coffee drinks such as lavender mocha, pumpkin pie latte, and salted caramel latte. They also offer other beverages such as hot chocolate, spiced caramel apple cider, and a good variety of teas.
Bella Goose Coffee is located at 744 Eddy Street and the store is open daily from 7:00 AM till 1:00 PM. Check them out here.
Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – Knuckleheads
Knuckle heads isn’t just a restaurant, but also a an indoor play area for kids with deatures bowling lanes, an arcade, a 4D theather, rides and a rope course.
In the middle of playing games with your kids, make sure to check out their restaurant which features food items like pizza and wings grilled to perfection.
Knuckle heads is located at 150 N Gasser Road and is open from 11am to 10pm every day.
Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – The Del-Bar
Another great choice for Wisconsin Dells restaurants is the Del-Bar. The Del-Bar is the true supper club of Wisconsin that has been around since 1943.
The restaurant is known for their exquisite menu choices with ingredients that are locally sourced, plus their selection of hand-crafted cocktails.
If you are planning a special event, then you will never go wrong with the restaurant’s menu and it ambiance. Don’t forget to ask for their specials or check out their happy hour.

Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – Denny’s Diner
Denny’s Diner is a classic diner which will take you back to the glory old days of wonderful home-cooked meals. The cinnamon rolls are baked fresh every single day and the breakfast and lunch treats are still cooked the old-fashioned way, using the same old flat top stove since 1980.
Start your day right with the breakfast specials or drop by for a hearty lunch. Denny’s Diner is located at 2 W Munroe Avenue.
Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM and lunch starts at 11:30 AM till 2:00 PM. Check their menu here.
Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – High Rock Café
The High Rock Café is a local favorite that started its business back in 2004. This lively and spacious restaurant features three dining rooms, a patio, and a bar plus their delightful modern American menu which was inspired by the many travels of owners Justin Draper and Wade Bernander.
High Rock Café is open daily. Lunch time starts at 11:00 AM till 4:00 PM and dinner starts right after lunch hours until 10:00 PM. For reservations, visit their website.
Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – Pizza Pub
Families love this restaurant especially because of the Saturday all you can eat pizza, chicken and pasta buffet from 4pm to 9pm.
This restaurant features food items like pasta, burgers, pizza and sandwiches. It is a very casual restaurant so don’t plan to dress up too much when visiting.
Pizza Pub is located on 14555 Wisconsin Dells Parkway and it is open from 11am to 12am daily.
Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – Hot Dog Avenue
Experience a taste of Chicago’s famous hotdogs at Hot Dog Avenue which opened back in 2010. This establishment is best for those who are looking for affordable and tasty meals. Every item on the menu is made to order which guarantees freshness and high-quality.
Some of the popular options are the Montana dog which is topped with bacons, grilled onions and spicy mustard and the New Mexico dog topped with chili and jalapenos. You can also check out their gyro with onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki.
Hotdog Avenue is located at 1321 Wisconsin Sells Parkway and they are open Mondays till Saturdays for lunch and dinner.
Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – Kaminski’s Chop House
Of course, we cannot forget one of the top Wisconsin Dells restaurants, Kaminski’s Chop House. Kaminski’s Chop House is the ultimate fine dining restaurant for meat lovers.
This Wisconsin Dells restaurant is well-known for their outstanding service and of course their mouthwatering menu ranging from rich steaks to exquisite seafood choices. Food is not the only thing that makes Kaminski’s Chop House one of Wisconsin’s favorite restaurants, but diners get to marvel at the beautiful view of the Wisconsin River.

Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – MACS Macaroni and Cheese Shop
As the name suggest, MACS is known for their macaroni and cheese and its unique and delicious variations.
The original MAC is made with cheddar and mozzarella, or you can also try their creations such as the Memphis MAC which is made with barbecue sauce, mozzarella, onion tanglers, provolone, and pulled pork.
MACS Macaroni and Cheese Shop is open Mondays to Sundays from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Savor the comfort food from MACS and for reservations and inquiries, head on to their site.
Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – Monk’s Bar & Grill
You can never go wrong with a good ol’ American burger with all the works and Wisconsin Dells restaurants would not at all be complete without Monk’s. Monk’s Bar & Grill offers not just the usual burgers but also their signature pickles.
Monk’s Bar & Grill is an iconic establishment in Downtown Dells and is popular both with the locals and tourists alike. Monk’s is a family-friendly place with the adornment of different Wisconsin sports teams. Don’t forget to try out their signature monkburger or try their vegan burger.

Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – Buffalo Phils
Buffalo Phils is a Wisconsin Dells restaurant that is a huge hit with families especially because kids can get a chance to have their food delivered to them on a choo-choo train that runs right through the restaurant.
This restaurant offers a wide variety of food items from burgers to pasta, pizza and barbecue, there is something for everyone in the family.
Buffalo Phils is located on 150 Gasser Rd in Lake Delton, Wisconsin. It is a few minute out of Wisconsin Dells however very worth the visit.
Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – Moosejaw Pizza & Dells Brewing Co.
This full service restaurant not only offers great-tasting pizzas but their other house specialties such as burgers, pastas, sandwiches, and a lot more.
Moosejaw is a great place for families to eat out and they also offer breakfast buffet for a very reasonable price. Moosejaw is the only brewpub in Wisconsin Dells where they offer handcrafted brews.

Wisconsin Dells Restaurants – Stuff’s Restaurant
This family-owned establishment is best known for their classic comfort food and breakfast favorites like biscuits and gravy and French toast.
Stop by for lunch or dinner and sample their famous stuffed buns with choices of cod, pepper steak with onions and bell peppers, roast beef, roasted chicken, turkey, and veggie options.
Stuff’s Restaurant Plus Catering is located at 4144 State Highway 13 and they are open daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM except Sundays when they close at 2:00 PM. Check out their menu here.
Wisconsin Dells Restaurant – Oodlesmack Popcorn
This technically isn’t a restaurant, but I could not write this list without adding it. They have some of the yummiest popcorn I have ever tried and in so many different types of fun tasting flavors such as birthday cake and s’mores. Make sure to buy enough to take back home!
