Spending more time with your family helps to strengthen family bonds and promote unity. Although it may seem like we’ve been spending more time with family than ever before, I’m referring more to quality family time.

Being in the same living space with your family doesn’t necessarily equate to spending time together as a family. Although we live in a small space, sometimes we do get busy with other things.

If you’d like to spend more time with your family this fall, then you’ll need all the tips below:

Ways to Spend More Time Together

Spending more time together as a family doesn’t require some big plan or commitment. It can be something as simple as going for a walk or having a movie night. It’s not about how big the time is, it’s about how much quality is found within that time. These ideas make spending time together a fun bonding experience.

Eat Meals Together

Family meals mean family bonding. It’s one of the core family things we can do to keep our bond strong. Make it a point to have family meals together every day if you can or at least every few days. You’ll find that you really start to connect.

We love the Chinet® Comfort Cup® Insulated hot cups when enjoying coffee and hot chocolate for Aiden outside as it keeps our drinks hot. The Chinet® Classic WhiteTM plates are also perfect so we don’t have to worry about doing dishes right away, and can just relax and enjoy our time together.

Go on a Weekend Trip

Travel is good for the soul and a good compromise between a day trip and a full-on vacation is a nice weekend trip. Head to a relatively close family-friendly spot or simply take a road trip if you live in an area with really beautiful autumn leaves.

Go for a Walk

This time of year is perfect for going on a family walk. The air is crisp. The leaves are changing. It’s a time for getting cozied up in our fall clothing and just experiencing the beauty of nature together.

Take a Day Trip

A day trip to a local attraction or two is a great way to spend some time together as a family. Pile into the car or the RV and head to some nearby spots that you normally don’t have time to visit.

Make a Craft Together

If you have younger kids, you can spend more time with your family by crafting. Kids love to create with their parents. So break out the construction paper, paper plates, colors, paints, and whatever else you can think of and have an afternoon of crafting.

Go on a Bike Ride

Bike rides are a great way to spend more time with your family. You can cover more ground than walking, and that allows you to see more of everything that fall has to offer. Plus, bike riding is such a fun family activity every can and will enjoy.

Take a trip to a Pumpkin Patch

No matter where you live, there’s probably a pumpkin patch near you. Head over and pick out your perfect pumpkins for carving Jack-O-Lanterns. Most pumpkin patches also offer other fun activities like hayrides and corn mazes, as well.

Take a Virtual Trip

There are tons of virtual trips you can take with your family to explore new places without ever leaving your home. It’s a great way to explore new people, places, and cultures together, and it’s interesting enough to keep the kids engaged.

Have Game Night

Game nights are another great way to get in some great family bonding. Whether your family loves board games or you play party games like Smash Brothers or Mario Kart with the kids, a night filled with friendly competition is always a good time.

Make Time For Movie Night

Movie nights are a great way to spend more time with your family. Pop some popcorn, break out the candy, and fire up your favorite movies for a night of entertainment and snuggling up together.

Make the Chinet® Brand Part of the Way You spend More Time with Your Family
